Korigadh

Trek To Koraigadh !! Enjoyable trek with family aha awesome !


Started on 17th Augast after celebrating the 67th Interdependence Day. Started on 9.30 AM with Express Highway thanks to Maharashtra Govt. for such nice highway. We have paid Rs 99/- on toll (one way) booth like label on Bata Shoes !! After Reaching Lonawala. we have left the express highway and towards the INS Shivaji via Bhushi Dam. In between you can visit the "Lion's point" and "Shivling Point" here you can enjoy the beautiful  nature if you are lucky, that there is no fog !!

After crossing around 20 K.m.you reach to Peth-Shahapur Village, where yo can park your vehicle. There is smaller road from where you can start your trek It will take another 20 min. to reach to the
fort base.

Started With Little Treker

Once the smaller road end you can view the a big light tower, you have to cross the dense trees and bushes to reach @ that place. It llok little difficult but this patch is of just 200m. You will see the stircase once you cross it, Sahara have reconstructed many stairs. There are around 600 stairs to reach the fort, don't mind on it beacuse once you cross it you are going to view the arial view of beautiful view and Amby Valley in free !!(at the cost of your little efforts). In between there temple of Ganesha, caves and water tanks.

Once you reached on the fort, you can enjoy the greenery and good thing is that fort is flat all the side wall are very good which you can use for roaming around. On fort there are two big lakes, but be careful about the snakes and crabs. The monkey's are there but don't worry they don't disturb you unless you tease them.

On top there are three temples one is of  Lord Shiva and one is Koraidevi it is good to visit there ! All the temples are reconstructed and maintained by Sahara. From Top one can view the ariel view of Amby valley
the beautiful lake and helipad on other side.

While Coming down on the way you can enjoy the natural water and luckily the place is not crowded, hence we enjoyed lot especially by little trekker !! After wall she completed the whole trek with little help of Papa and Mamma
